ERAS 2023 Timeline and Fees

JUNE Initiate your research into your desired programs. IMGPrep Customized Residency Program list to review specialties and your qualifications. Familiarize yourself with the eligibility criteria for taking part in ERAS and the NRMP Match, as well as for obtaining a U.S. state medical license.

JUNE 28 It’s time to obtain your Residency Tokens. They are available in the ERAS Support Services segment of ECFMG’s OASIS.

After procuring your token, register on the AAMC’s MyERAS website. Once registration is complete, commence submitting your supplemental documents. Refer to the Submission At-a-Glance section for details on how to submit ERAS documents and their corresponding processing times.

Start reaching out to potential references for letters of recommendation; aim to have documents uploaded by September 20 to ensure they’re forwarded to the programs on September 27.

SEPTEMBER 6 From 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the U.S., you are allowed to start applying to programs on September 6.

SEPTEMBER 27 Starting at 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the U.S., programs are permitted to start reviewing applications.

2024 [NRMP-determined date] The standard registration deadline for the NRMP Match arrives. You can still register post this date, but an additional late registration fee will be imposed by the NRMP.

[NRMP-determined date] The NRMP Match registration and Rank Order List (ROL) Certification deadline occurs.

[NRMP-determined date] The commencement of the Match week.

[NRMP-determined date] The official Match day.

MAY 31 The current ERAS season concludes with the closure of the MyERAS application.

JULY 1 The residency training officially starts.
